Kuala Lumpur, 24 May 2024 – Under Armour hosted an exclusive media session at MST Golf Arena on Tuesday, offering a preview of the highly anticipated Toyota Tour eGolf championship (TTeG). Running from April 1st to August 31st, 2024, the eGolf Championship is a collaborative effort between MST Golf Group and UMW Toyota aimed at bridging the gap between non-professional and professional golfers. As Malaysia’s first indoor golf nationwide tournament, it features prizes worth up to RM200,000 to be won including a chance to play with Malaysia’s best in the 2024 Toyota Tour.
Held at MST Golf Arena at The Gardens Mall, the event was hosted by Under Armour, the brand sponsor for the month of May. It featured Under Armour ambassadors, including Malaysian professional golfers Daeng Abdul Rahman and Casper Loh, as well as sports athletes Jeff Lau (Ultra Marathon Athlete) and Muhammad Irfan Shamsuddin (National Discuss Thrower).
The session began with a delectable lunch at MST Golf Arena, followed by a panel discussion with Under Armour representatives and professional golfers Daeng Abdul Rahman and Casper Loh, who are competing in the 2024 Toyota Tour season. Attendees then participated in a friendly indoor golf competition, experiencing the Toyota Tour eGolf monthly course, Marina Bay Golf Course. Media guests were also treated to Under Armour goodies to take home.
The 9-hole indoor golf Championship is held exclusively across four MST Golf Arena locations in Klang Valley, Johor, and Penang. It has garnered significant participation from golf enthusiasts, with emerging Gross, Net, Novelty, and lucky draw winners in April. Under Armour, the brand sponsor for May, is offering exciting golf apparel and accessories as lucky draw prizes. Participants are encouraged to play more rounds for a chance to win these prizes and entries into the Grand Lucky Draw, featuring luxurious golf packages.
